Tape recorders producing capacity was 400 thousnd pieces a year. Territory - 54 thousand square meters, working area - 24 thousand square meters.

There are all necessary offices and amenity rooms, where 3000 employees work in two shifts, as well as storage rooms and facilities for materials, component parts and finished products storage. Also treating facilities are available.

During the eighteens the plant increased the production: Eight models and modifications of tape recorders were developed. VESNA plant was the first one who mastered the complex of flexible automated machinery PANASERT (Japan), assigned for installation of radioelements in printed circuit boards and elemental basis was polished.

Using the new up-to-date equipment VESNA plant has mastered production of high-quality magnetic heads, which met highest international standards of that time. Models of VESNA tape recorders were well known among many music lovers of the eighteens.

Nevertheless, because of the economic crisis in Ukraine in 1994, the plant has got into difficulties. Business relations with component parts and materials suppliers, which mostly were located outside Ukraine, were ruptured. Considerable rise of radioelements and materials prices has resulted in growing the finished products prices. A lot of products manufactured by Korean, Japanese and European companies were imported in Ukraine. These products were competitively privileged and practically overshadowed domestic analogous products in Ukrainian trading network.

Production of VESNA plant’s main products – tape recorders – was reduced and in the early 1997 was practically stopped. In 1994 plant was no longer profitable. In 1995 VESNA Zaporozhye tape-recorder plant was transformed into VESNA Public Joint Stock Company. 

Using engineering and technological capabilities of the plant production of not-profile products on demand of the industrial and agricultural plants was organized by own strength. Since 1996 the setback in production was stopped.

The analysis of a financial and economic state of the plant has shown, that the thoroughgoing changes have to be made. At the plant the re-structuring was held.

Based on economic and financial concerns of the plant, in 1998 the affiliated companies were set up: "VESNA Zaporozhye machine works" to manufacture industrial and economic as well as consumer goods, and "VESNA business enterprise” to manufacture the products from plastic materials of technological and domestic assigning, modern sidewalk and facing tiles.

The creation of these companies limited with the support of the plants-founders has allowed:

   to accelerate implementation of new products manufacture; to provide additional 
        workplaces;
   to use the transport and storage rooms more effectively;
   to expand human services;
   to reduce production price owning to an effective use of productive capacity.

During these companies organizing, industrial process workers were moved from VESNA Public JSC into these new companies. The created companies work from 1998.

Thus, the VESNA public JSC overcome setback in production and provided the positive tendencies of growth of production, upgrading of products and created conditions in order to reduce inner and outer financial indebtednesses.

The total production and services volume in 2000 has increased 1.2 times as much as contrasted to 1999.
